Additionally, she has fulfilled her dream of serving animals as the founder and director of her nonprofit equine rescue therapy organization in Houston.
Ms. Cardet began working in the real estate industry with Coldwell Banker United in 2002 and subsequently earned positions at Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty, Keller Williams Realty, Taylor Real Estate Group, and eXp Realty. Specializing in residential real estate, she enjoys helping her clients by providing them with tremendous knowledge of the city and unparalleled expertise in the market. Ms. Cardet attributes her success to networking and working alongside a great team.
Fulfilling her dream to serve animals, Ms. Cardet began her quest in 2016 when she rescued her first miniature horse, Peanut, from a kill pen in Texas. As the Houston company’s founder and director, she rescues unwanted horses, miniatures, and donkeys before being sent to these pens by their owners and breeders for slaughter. In addition to rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding loving homes, many of her horses are also used for therapy.
Ms. Cardet has saved over 350 animals and has approximately 30 horses at her ranch. To successfully maintain A Place for Peanut Inc., she relies heavily on the support of donations. She also hired an equestrian marketing team in 2023 to help her gain more recognition on social media. The team has also interviewed Ms. Cardet for television, radio, and podcasts.
An alumnus of the Art Institute, Ms. Cardet achieved an associate’s degree in film and audio engineering in 1992. Well-qualified in her field, she received a license to practice real estate in Texas. She also received certification as an international property specialist, negotiation expert, luxury home specialist, and social media pro. Additionally, Ms. Cardet is recognized as a preferred agent with Concierge Auctions, the world’s largest luxury real estate auction marketplace.
To remain aware of developments in her field, Ms. Cardet is a prominent member of the National Association of Realtors. For her contributions to the industry, she has been noted as a Five Star Realtor by Texas Monthly every year between 2011 and 2014. In light of her nonprofit efforts, Ms. Cardet was honored to be named a Top Rated Nonprofit for 2017.
